Creative Grace

By:  Phil Lower

Grace challenges the accepted order of things.

I would have you prosper, even as your soul prospers.  If you limit God to do something the way you want it done, you miss the opportunity for Him to show you a burning bush, or a rod that buds, or an ass that speaks to your need.

God doesn’t want us to live in boxes but we naturally do as humans.  God wants us to open ourselves up to His grace so we can not only think outside the box, but live outside the boxes we have constructed for ourselves and those around us.

He wants us to try new things and tap into Him and His Wisdom for new and innovative ways to see him and his work (miracles), as well as, His ways which always challenge our boxes.

It could be as simple as writing a proposal for work you’ve never done before.  But, since you see the need, and are open and willing to try, He gives you the grace to win the bid, organize and present the work, and learn a new level of His grace to carry you through to the next challenge.

The Spirit of God is an entrepreneurial Spirit.  It is creative and innovative.  I’m not stating that organized religion is entrepreneurial or innovative.  The Spirit of God is.

Recognize that the spirit of Man can be also.  But, because of mankind’s inherent corrupt nature it is usually set at or bent upon control, manipulation, and destruction.

When innovating and tapping into the Wisdom of the Spirit of God, you draw from Divine guidance which is inherently creative, constructive, and loving.

Innovation comes to help and aid those in a time of need.  The old cliché that necessity is the mother of invention is true.  Modifications of past innovations can often be boiled down to marketing tricks.

The stirrup was an innovation which helped a man stay on a horse’s back.  But men had been using and riding horses for thousands of years before it.

If you truly want to innovate, find a great need, and seek to solve it.  Open yourself up to be willing to receive Divine guidance, don’t hold back or create artificial constraints on the flow of the Spirit and ideas will begin to flow into you.

Humans have a gift of creating.  All humans, no matter what temperament you possess, have this gift and thus the key is to align your creative ability with the Divine Wisdom in order to create that which is constructive and good versus that which is destructive and evil.  It is your right to choose.
