We learn from many sources, and in many different ways, because we are unique. Each one of us has the ability to achieve significance and greatness in our chosen arenas. We just have to push through to get to the heart of our reasons why. T.H. Huxley said, “My experience of the world is that things left to themselves don’t get right.” And, Proverbs 15:32 states, “He who ignores discipline despises himself, but whoever heeds correction gains understanding.”
Knowing our strengths and weaknesses will allow us to avoid many of the landmines we run into. But to do that you have to ask yourself one very important question.
Are you Coachable?
In other words, can you learn from other people, your mentors, and their failures?
Here are 8 requirements for you to maximize your success.
To be coachable means to be…
Every one of us says “of course” we are all eight of these. Take a true self-inventory and even ask your friends and family. Miss one of these and it’s not the end of the world. Miss two or more of these and you are part of the problem holding you back. The good news is that with the right guidance, and if you’re strong enough, you could turn things around very quickly.
To your success,
